Grangemouth
Grangemouth is 4.5 miles from Falkirk town centre and has a population of almost 18,000. Served by junction 6 of the M9 and with a huge shipping port and oil refinery, it is a popular area for industry and businesses to locate, providing employment opportunities for the local community.
There are frequent bus routes to Falkirk and neighbouring Bo'ness and train stations at Falkirk and Polmont are only a short drive away (3.5 miles and 2.5 miles respectively).
In November 2006, a new 65,000 sq ft Asda superstore opened adjacent to the town centre. This development is recognised as bringing additional investment and retail provision to the town, but there are further plans to re-develop the town centre.

Grangemouth hosts a range of events (PDF, 478KB)| throughout the spring/summer, including an Easter parade and Grangemouth Music Festival in the town centre and a Children's Festival in nearby Zetland Park.
