Business incubation supports young businesses by offering subsidised accommodation asnd access to an excellent network of support services. The objective is to allow the business to start up with minimal costs until they are able to operate on their own. They will receive mentoring support and management expertise to help grow their business. This project is targeted at a step-change in successful new business start-ups in the Falkirk area. It has picked up from successful pilot work carried out by the partners under the Enterprising Falkirk banner and the pilot incubation facilities at Grangemouth and Denny.

For the Falkirk area to deliver and benefit from a growth in technology-based companies, there is a challenge to ensure that young people are interested and equipped to enter this market place. To support this activity BP Grangemouth are leading the My Future’s in Falkirk project, Schools into Technology. This project aims to encourage more pupils to take science subjects and encourage them to pursue a technology based career. The project has three offerings - Masterclasses, the Scottish Science and Technology Network and the Science, Education and Technology Fair.
