  • Work to start on multi million motorway interchange for Larbert - 17.01.12, TransportScotland
    A £1.7m contract has been awarded to RJ McLeod to start work on a new slip roads scheme for the M876 at Glenbervie. The overall project will cost £2.8m and is expected to improve access to the M80 and M9 by upgrading the junction between the A9 and the M876 to a four-way interchange.

  • Block coming down in Denny - 12.01.12, Falkirk Herald
    Work on demolishing the Church Walk blocks in Denny is set to continue over the next 6-8 weeks, with the block opposite St Alexander’s Church due to come down. The work is part of an ongoing project to regenerate the town, clearing space for nine new shops, a library and public square.
  • Good call from HEROtsc - 06.01.12, callcentreclinic.com
    Larbert-based HEROtsc has reported year end figures showing an increase in turnover from £47m to £63m. Now the UK’s fourth biggest contact centre company, they have set up a new centre in Warrington and announced plans to open another in Derby. 
  • Falkirk Looking Forward (pgs 2-3) - Jan 2012, Investment Now
    Falkirk is an area that is certainly not standing still in the current economic climate. The future for its local economy shows real signs of growth, boosted by an ongoing commitment to regeneration. Investment in the area has continued strongly during 2011; with increased funding for projects locally, and a number of initiatives that are of national importance.

    Having recently published her long awaited report on how to revive High Streets across the country, these new training courses are designed to complement many of the recommendations from Mary’s report. 

    Usually £225, Falkirk Council have secured external funding which will enable many local businesses to attend FREE of charge.
