Local developments
The Falkirk area is home to the most significant chemicals complex in Scotland, namely Grangemouth and developments are occurring constantly.
These developments include petrochemicals and bio-fuels at the Ineos refinery|, chemical manufacturing at KemFine|, exploration at BP| and a dye plant investment at FujiFilm|.
Grangemouth business parks including Earls Gate Park| and Grangemouth Technology Park will also attract more chemical related businesses to locate here and therefore create more jobs in this industry. Major development sites including Abbotsford Business Park and Grangemouth Port| may see more industrial companies locating in the area in future.
The coming years are likely to see job opportunities in chemical production, technicians and technical support and servicing.
