The key changes facing the area that will bring about new job opportunities are as follows:
New schools, housing, the Forth Valley Hospital|, business parks including Abbotsford, Earls Gate| and Falkirk Gateway|, plus major town centre regeneration plans.
The need for carpenters/joiners, electricians, plumbers, painters and decorators, as well as general operatives is expected to increase as the economy recovers from the economic downturn.
The need for professional and technical jobs in construction (architecture, surveying, engineering etc) is also expected to grow in the long term.
