Five is the Magic Number for Xtreme Karting

One of Falkirk's most popular visitor attractions Xtreme Karting has been deemed 'world class', receiving the prestigious five star visitor attraction status from VisitScotland.

The Larbert based venue was awarded the accolade just weeks after celebrating its fifth birthday making it Falkirk's only five star visitor attraction and continuing the success story of local entrepreneurs Barrie and Scott Henderson.  The highly coveted award was received following a mystery shopper grading by VisitScotland who assessed Xtreme Karting on their facilities, cleanliness, staff attitude, efficiency and product knowledge.

Barrie Henderson, founder and Managing Director of Xtreme Karting said:

"Over the past five years we have continually developed the karting centre with high performance karts, a new bridge with double tunnel section and a new corporate events/meeting room, all added over the past 18 months.

"We were delighted to be awarded VisitScotland's five star status, recognising not only the improvements made to the centre but also the effort put into staff training and team building we have carried out. We've put a lot of effort into the extra details that set us apart from other karting centres and make the difference to our customers, such as our high level of customer care and the standard of customer facilities.

"We take a lot of pride in being the only karting centre in Scotland and the only tourist attraction in Falkirk to achieve the five star status."

Councillor Adrian Mahoney, convener of leisure, tourism and community at Falkirk Council, welcomed the news: "This is a superb accolade for a local family business and for Falkirk. Not only has Xtreme Karting managed to create a fun, adrenalin packed environment but they have also succeeded in creating a first class service for the business and corporate market."

XtremeKarting won the Falkirk Herald's Outstanding Achievement Award and Best Business (under 25 employees) in November 2008.
