Bean There And Done It! – Entrepreneur Heads for Falkirk
Entrepreneur Gordon Richardson is heading for Falkirk in October to share some of his expertise in setting up one of Scotland’s most innovative leisure businesses.
Founder and owner of Beanscene, Scotland’s fast-growing chain of neighbourhood coffee and music shops, Gordon is sharing some of his business insight with business leaders from across Falkirk who are members of the Falkirk Business Panel.
Gordon has held a variety of positions throughout the leisure and music industry before finally launching Beanscene in 1999. Since then he has opened nearly 20 coffee and music houses across Scotland.
Cllr David Bryson, Convener of Economic Development said: ‘Gordon is an innovative and inspirational young man – he is passionate about what he does and anyone involved in business will benefit from listening to his advice.
‘We want businesses to share their ideas and prosper across Falkirk and we’ve already seen the benefits of the Falkirk Business Panel and its work as part of the My Future’s In Falkirk economic regeneration initiative.’
The two hour session is part of the ‘Talk Business’ programme that brings respected business pioneers and entrepreneurs to Falkirk to share their ideas.
The focus of Gordon’s talk will be on leadership and branding and will be held in Callendar House, Falkirk on Tuesday 3 October between 11.30am and 1.30pm. Tickets are priced £23.50 and include VAT and lunch. To book, contact 0845 606 6826.
Falkirk Business Panel comprises around 750 members made up from all sections of the business community across the Falkirk Council area and is a key project within the My Future’s In Falkirk economic regeneration initiative.
Four other Falkirk Business Panel events are also planned in the run up to Christmas (all free of charge but must be pre-booked).

Thursday 21 September – Network Supermarket – an informal networking opportunity for businesses across the Council area.
