    A new £100,000 marketing campaign aimed at putting Falkirk firmly on the tourism map has been launched. VisitFalkirk - a destination marketing group comprising Falkirk Delivers, Falkirk Council, Falkirk Community Trust (including the Helix), The Falkirk Wheel and Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway - announced the campaign to local tourism businesses at Callendar House.

    Arran Brewery's managing director Gerald Michaluk has vowed their £10m project to transform former Falkirk distillery, Rosebank, will go ahead. The project which is estimated could create 67 jobs, is currently awaiting planning permission.
