    The economic fortunes of Falkirk town centre are set to be turned around as funding announced today will rejuvenate its historic streets and buildings. The Heritage Lottery Fund has earmarked funding1 of £2million including development funding of £50,000 as part of its hugely successful Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI)2. This is the biggest HLF award to be made in the Falkirk area.

    Final preparations at Falkirk Stadium are underway ready for Elton John’s performance on Sunday 10th June. In the first event of its kind at the stadium, a specially erected stage is to be set up opposite the main stand. The football club hope it will be followed by similar events in future.

    Campbells Prime Meat reported a 7% increase in their first full year at their new premises near Linlithgow following their relocation from Broxburn after a fire.
  • Developer lodges plans to create jobs near Drum estate – 11.05.12, Queensferry Gazette
    Detailed plans have been submitted for a 13 hectare Drum Business Park, consisting of 37 eco-friendly business units in Bo’ness. Developer Mactaggart and Mickel got outline consent in 2007. While there is no timescale yet for each building phase, it is thought construction could start in 2014.
